Happy Birthday

It’s wonderful to wish someone on his/her B' day. However, it’s so embarrassing to receive wishes on your own B' Day, especially when you think that you haven’t accomplished anything or have wasted all these years. :-), today as soon as I woke up, called Lakshmi (my twin, who was born 10 mins earlier) and wished her Happy Birthday. She was in a good mood, as her husband gifted her a diamond bracelet. Woooooooooo. Guess this is the most expensive gift she has received from her husband. A woman is always a woman.
Every year I get B' Day wishes from people I never knew before, and the strange thing is the next year I receive wishes from another set of people. Not that I travel a lot geographically, but people come and go like a train friendship, like the English poem which says "men may come, men may go".
Sometimes, you meet a person and think this is going to be a friendship till the end. But that relationship just vanishes with time or location. There are few people who always travel with you. Not just your family, but few friends who come in to your life in a very simple way and remain forever. Ramesh is one among them....this is the sweet note I got from him

my best wishes and congratulations on the occasion of your Birthday!! On my behalf (as I am not there to arrange it) do make/buy something special to celebrate. Your options are:
1. Paalghoa (if you get it there)
2. Halwa (if you get it there)
3. Paal payasam, or if even that is not possible…
4. A BIG Nestle chocolate bar

Ramesh....I had a free lunch and a dinner sponsored by my friends and colleagues. Not a Dutch treat Srini. :-)

There was this strange B Day wish I got from an anonymous person. He sent a bunch of red roses with a relationship proposal card, asking me to stay back in Canada. It looked very funny for me in the beginning, but being an emotional person I soon realized that the note was serious.
I don’t want to know who’s that person, as I would have to say NO to him...and that can be very painful, though I have no intention to hurt him.

Well the day was very noisy...don’t know for what reason. I thought of spending the day in silence...but it was very busy, laughing, hugging and hearing all artificial-nice words. :-), I want to go home now, talk to lakshmi, get scolding from her or hear complaining about her mother in-law and end my day with Samyama meditation.
