Moving

Eight years ago, I was talking to my brother about my career. My brother advised me not to run a 100 mts race, rather go for a marathon. :-), very funny, however he didn’t know at that time, that I will invent a new way of running. A running method, in which you are static, but the world runs around you. Things change, people are different, different places, but you are the same. Nine years after coming out of India, I feel like this.
Last week there was a farewell party and many people told me lot of glorifying words like "I am honoured to work with", learnt so much from you, You are my dear friend and will be in my heart forever etc. However there is this prof with whom I didn’t interact that often. He made a remark about me that I am an "oxymoron". Very intelligent but innocent, very independent but delicate. :D, didn’t know how to react when rest of the crowd started smiling and laughing.
Yes, perhaps I am an oxymoron. My dad is still not aware of my India trip. As usual he will come to know about this as the last person. Not because he is not important for all of us, the previous experiences have proven that he can very easily get worried about me. :-)...appa I will be there soon to get scoldings from you.
For past two weeks I am staying at Abhis place. Abhi is my very good friend, not very close, but we have this cute affection for each other. I feel at home, I love their kid Danny, her husband Athille.Yesterday I was playing "nandu ooruhu nariyum ooruthu” with Danny. :D, he enjoyed it so much. Later I demonstrated the same with my student in the lab during coffee time, my student blushed and all the others were laughing. It’s fun to play with science and kids at the same time.
Thinking about that play I feel the same about myself "nandum ooruthu nariyum ooruthu". :-)
