Boys at my school used to make fun of me by singing this song (not eve teasing) :), as my full name is Rajkumari.
Hearing good music makes me very happy. These days if I continuously feel happy and relaxed, then it reminds me my life at Canada. Its funny, just 8 months before life was like this and happiness was a 24hrs reality. :), people might misunderstand whatever i am writing here. :) its OK, at least here I should be able to pour out whatever I feel like. That is the reason why I made my blog site not available for search engines. But last week one of the ashram volunteers here came and told me "hey, I read your blog about Sadhguru's visit to Isha Vidhya". I was shocked and was wondering how this person knew about my blog. She clarified my doubt saying that whenever words like Sadhguru or Isha Vidhya are used she will get alerts. That alerted me for few moments but afterwards I forgot it. Today I typed "Raji Kumaraswamy" and got all sorts of funny details about me and then my blog also appeared. :)

I won the best poster award at this conference at Belgium (in Ostende, a small seashore town) for European Biotechnologists ESEB 2004. Guus won the award for asking the best question. Guus is such a cute friend of mine, cant believe he is a paappa now for a three years old. I remember, just before the award was anounced Orion who was staying with me in the same Hotel came to know about it from the award committee. Orion was a sabbatical researcher to our lab in Netherlands from University of Southern California. He got so excited and searched for me. I was lying at my hotel room attached to the conference venue because of cold and headache. He came and woke me up and dragged to the conference main hall where almost 3000 scientists were gathered. When the poster award was announced the Belgium Prof was struggling to pronounce my last name Kumaraswamy. :D it was dragged like kkkkummmaaa.
I lost my patience and went on to the stage and grabbed the certificate for best award from him. He shook hands and asked "Can you let me know how to pronounce your name". I replied, "Oh that's not my name, that's my dads, mine is Raji" and went away. Later after an hour when we were leaving the hotel this prof came near me and said "Raji.....here take these chocolates, this is for your award and you ran down from the stage without taking this". I got 1 kg of best Belgium chocolates and was so happy about it. Saved it for 6 months in my fridge and took them for my niece and mom who are so fond of chocolates. We returned to Netherlands the same evening in Guus' car, with Guus driving he car and Orion sitting beside him. I was lying in the back seat. Remember I was feeling so comfortable after few weeks of hectic preparation for the conference and now relaxed in my friend's car with two of my close friends accompanying me. Those were the few of the safest moments I have felt in my whole life. My team head Gerard and other members of our team were following us in their cars. They stopped the cars near Amsterdam and we got down for dinner. I and Guus were surprised by this party our team head arranged as a surprise for our achievements in the conference. :)...Well beers, scotch, vodka, wines and I joined them with orange juice which was also good for my cold :D... Happy days..
After seeing my blog site in the google search, I went and changed the settings so that the site doesn't appear in the search engine. Just now realised that it still appears if I type "raji Kumaraswamy" in google search :)

So what..its ok...let people enjoy reading it.
